LiveEdit and php CMS

Hi

Can someone confirm that  liveedit work only for static html file ( *.html)  and
a-- not for php file that generate html file ?
b-- not for php file that are part of  CMS php  website ?

Live Edit works for PHP (no hotswapping - page is auto-reloaded when changing php code)
