CVS: Access is denied

I am running build #3461, Windows 2000 and working on a project with around 8 sub-projects, each within CVS.

When performing a CVS Update, I get the CVS message: Error: Access is denied.

Studying the CVS logs, no messages are reported and the Entries files within the CVS directory is renamed to Entries~

This can be resolved by renaming the Entries~ file back to the original, however the problem then reoccurs at either the same or an arbitrary location within the project.

This is very impeding on work, and the only temporary solutions seems to be to use an external CVS client.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

I have seen that Google Desktop's indexing of the CVS files in your
project directories can cause this problem with IDEA. Try stopping
Google Desktop or configuring it to ignore the project directories where
you are experiencing this problem.

I'm amazed! I've stopped it and it CVS Updated the entire project without fail!

Thanks!
