IDEA 5 sometimes wrongly claims web.xml doesn't exist

I've been evaluating IDEA 5.0.1 and have encountered this irritating problem. Sometimes when I 'Make Project', IDEA claims that it can't find the web.xml file for one of my web modules. The message it gives is as follows:

Error: Compiling Web Module 'xxx webapp': Deployment descriptor file 'Z:\xxx\web\WEB-INF\web.xml' does not exist

However, I have that very file open in the editor - it definitely exists! Additionally, if I do 'Make Project' once or twice again, IDEA makes the project successfully.

Note that we currently use IDEA 3.0.5 so this was a project that was migrated from that version. IDEA 5.0.1 created a Java module and two web modules. The complaint about the missing web.xml can be for both modules or just one of them - it varies.

Also, note that sometimes IDEA seems to eat the content inside the <web-app> element in my web.xml file(s) which can be extremely irritating. Thankfully the element content can be retrieved using the rollback feature in the editor, but this doesn't remove the fact that this is a nasty problem.

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem or if anyone at JetBrains is aware of it or can point me to a fix.

Let me know if more information would be helpful or if I've left anything unclear and I'll see what I can do.
