How can I configure Idea 5.0 to see my resources??

Hi,

I have the problem with Idea 5.0 that I cannot see my resources anymore :(
I have a source dir and a separate config dir, which contains certain files, i.e. config.xml. When I configure the module to include this config dir as a lib, it is not shown anymore in the project pane, which disables me to edit it (I don't want to do over open file!). If I don't set it as adition lib, the files will no be includes into the classpath and they will not ne seen.
This worked fine with 4.x. What the hell is the idea behind this "feature"???

Any help is appreciated.

regards
Paul

I think the idea is that a library is something external, it is not part
of the source for this project and is therefore not editable from this
project.

I think you're supposed to have those files in a source path (you don't
have to move them physically, you can configure the config dir as a
source path). Then you use Settings | Compiler to configure a set of
resource patterns. Any files matching the resource patterns will be
copied as-is from your source path to the output directory and will then
automatically be part of the classpath.

Thanks alot for this tip. It works now.

Paul

FYI: When I tried it, I also realized today, that you could put a directory into the module libs and define the dir as source, which has the same effect as you decribed it, except that the files are not copied to the output but added to the startup parameters...
