Mac Questions and Answers

Ok, so I've figured out how to do CVS over SSH (the tricky part is that the Open SSH implementation needs two environment variables set for agent authentication).

I figured out how to change the VM options (/Applications/IntelliJ IDEA.app/Contents/info.plist)

Could someone tell me how to configure the IntelliJ IDEA SDK on the Mac?

Strangely enough, IDEA doesn't know where it's own JDK is (though it seems to know where it isn't). The run panel is complaining that I have the wrong JDK type for a plugin (I'm guessing that it wants the IDEA SDK).

Thank you,

Donald

Donald,
you are exactly right - you have to add a new IDEA SDK with JDK
Configurations dialog. Home path for IDEA SDK is the IDEA_HOME and internal
jre will be found for you automatically. And that's all.
Thank you,

Anna,

Thank you very much. That worked great.

Except for one problem. What is the "Sandbox Home" and what would it get set to?

It's just a directory where IDEA will store config info, licence copy,
plugin classes, etc.., to be used by the 2nd instance of IDEA started by
the DevKit plugin.

You could chose something like:

~/dev/idea/sandbox-3326
