Weblogic + IDEA

Hi All,

I am using IntelliJ 3 and 3.5, is it possible to integrate with Weblogic 6.1??
In the Project properties of IntelliJ, i could see only
the TomCat server. I am using Weblogic as my server. Is't possible to integrate? if so, tell me how can i achive this.

Note: The basic idea is to debug the weblogic application thru IDEA

Regards.

WebLogic integration is available in the 4.0 EAP version, but not in 3.5.
However, you can do Java debugging by running the WebLogic server in debug
mode and connecting to it using the remote debugging capabilities of IDEA
3.5. You can't debug JSPs, but Servlets, EJBs, and utility classes can be
debugged.
When you set up the Debug session in IDEA it tells you the exact syntax of
the modifications you need to start up WebLogic in debug mode.

Probably an obvious question but have you entered your servers username and password in the Debug / Run configuration?

Here's the Steps to Run the J2EE Server in Debug Mode:

1. Run Server in Debug Mode
-Xdebug -Xnoagent -Djava.compiler=NONE -Xrunjdwp:transport=dt_socket,server=y,suspend=n,address=[PORT NUMBER]

2. Run Client using your IDE (Eclipse, IntelliJ) etc.,
Debugger Mode must be "Attach"
Host, Port and Transport must match

3. Run Application as before. Remember to set Breakpoint from your client so they get triggered.
