Weird navigation issue

I am not sure what I accidentally did but pressing the left arrow key when I am at the start of a line doesn't take me back to the previous line anymore. I have look through the preference for a long time and couldn't located the setting for this.

Any ideas?

Yep the cursor just stucks at the start of the line

But Left works to move across the line to the left (to the start), but not to the previous line?

please check the 'allow placement of caret after end of line' (Settings/Editor) - is it on by chance?

yes it was on!! unchecking it fixed the issue.
