On an IBM web site I would not expect to see an objective comparison.

Ok, I'll be honest - I thought that the author was totally biased and
the resulting comparison was completely bogus.

A comparison of Eclipse and IntelliJ

Frankly it's just propaganda! Neither product is reviewed in the article. They setup a project and barely look at the features. It's just meant to appear on Google searches and tempt developers!

It's biased fluff. I scanned the article, I noticed that they were not able to give thumbs down to IDEA!!! The only significant thing they can come up in the conclusion is that it's free. Essentially they are saying... IDEA and Eclipse are the same and you should just get Eclipse cause you are more likely to find an mp3 player plugin for it!

And frankly, IDEA has provided me with so much money saved in productivity that as far as I am concerned it's also free!

I thing it like comparison Linux and Windows few days ago on Microsoft
site...
"So, we can see that instaling of Windows XP - is only 30 minutes, but Linux
as simplest instalation - 8 hours" :)
Marketing bullshit :)

Thanks!

Red Hat isn't all that great, but yes, it's "Linux for Dummies" enabled, but compiling a kernel still takes much longer than installing XP ;) Mahaaa!
