Hi there,

Instead of using New Project Wizard (where you still CAN exclude folders from being downloaded -- have a look at this screenshot -- it has "Exclude" button) .. I would suggest to create brand new empty project and configure everything else later manually.

The remote stuff is configured at "Settings | Deployment". Do not forget to mark it as Default for current project.

Once you have done the above, you can then browse it using "Remote Host" tool window (if it is not visible by default -- "Tools | Deployment | Browse Remote Host"). There you can decide what folders to download as well as mark specific files/folders as Excluded from deployment operations.

Hello!

seems you are looking for something like http://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/WI-1398.
Note that you can exclude the certain directories from downloading when creating a project from existing sources

Tnx Elena but my problem are:

  1. Not download anythings form web site via FTP
  2. Explore (browse) the site like "browse tools"
  3. Open directly from web (via ftp)
  4. Edit my file
  5. Save ad automatic upload via FTP

There is possible ?

You cannot open and edit file directly on FTP. You have to download it first.

PhpStorm is an IDE and not just advanced text editor. It is built around "having a project" concept where all files are available locally.

Just like Elena have said -- http://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/WI-1398
