New Git / Mercurial log view

Having played around with the new Git / Mercurial log view in PhpStorm 7.1 EAP, I find it much harder to use than the old one, particularly when there are multiple repositories. It is now less clear which branch a commit is on, making it difficult to visually scan the history of a branch. Is it practical to provide an option to use the old UI?

  • The brighter colour scheme, with more distinct colours (the current muted colours tend to blend in to each other)
  • Restore the highlight subgraph feature
  • Straight-line branches - this was my favourite feature of PhpStorm's log viewer over other Git interfaces and makes it much easier to scan
  • Repository separation - the old vertical grey line between repositories was much clearer than the red/yellow sidebar scheme used now.
