default path

I have to tell IDEA where to put my project, it assumed I wanted it within the windows directory. How do I chagne the default.
Then, when I created a module, it didn't put it in the same directory as the project, it wanted to put it in the window ditectory again
and even after i changed that, it made my output path
c:\windows\idea projects also!

I really need to change these defaults

thanks.

I want to know how as well. I've asked twice, no one seems to know :(

There's no config setting for this.

Workaround: all open/save/... dialogs have an idea icon. Pressing this
icon changes the path in the dialog to the project dir.

In fact this one has been kicking around around since build #693 and was
supposed to be scheduled for Aurora.

I just voted for it.
