Limiting code completion popup to immediate class dynamically?

Is there a way to dynamically (hot key?) limit/toggle the scope of the methods listed in the code completion window?

For example, I'm trying to learn my way around the JTable class. As you know, that class is huge, so when I hit '.' I'm presented with a huge list of all methods of the immediate class, subclasses, deprecated methods, etc. Most of the time I want all that, but when I'm looking for a method to do something and I don't know what it's called, it would be nice to temporarily limit the scope of what's displayed. It's already being tracked because those methods are in bold (which is already a very nice feature, btw ;-).

Does this feature exist already? I poked around in the settings, but wasn't able to find something appropriate.
