Debugging woes

I finally have my webapp running in intellij but seem to have some serious issues when trying to run it in debug mode.

I'm using Tomcat 4.1.27 for my server. I selected "Tomcat 4.0.x Server" from the application server list, as there is no 4.1.x option. I also have "Launch server ..." checked, as nothing happens at all if it isn't. I'm running it under java 1.3.1.

With this config it starts up without problems if I just run the webapp. However, if I attempt to debug, the server starts up followed almost immediately by a HotSpot Virtual Machine Error. Does anyone know what could be causing this and, more importantly, if there is anyway to fix it without changing the version of java or tomcat I'm using?

Thanks,
Jon

Same old problem. Tomcat 4.1.x doesn't include debugging information,
hence you can't debug. You need to use either 4.0.6 or 5.0.x to debug.
