Weird problem with files changing on disk.

I and some of my collegues have been experiencing problems with IntelliJ
popping up a dialog box and saying that the file that I am trying to save
has changed on disk and then asking me if I wish to reload. This happens so
much and I am SURE that I have not edited or even touched the file (except
through intelliJ), I am wondering what could cause this. I have also seen
things show up as Locally Modified, however, I KNOW that I have not edited
these files in anyway. If I then do a CVS diff IntelliJ says that the files
are identical and a cvs update immediately moves the file from Locally
Modified to Up-to-date.

I figure this is some system issue on our side, however, what I want to know
is what exactly is intelliJ looking at to make it THINK that files have
changed when in fact they have not!

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

I am running 3.0.5 on Linux typically on my home directory which is an NFS'd
mount.

Didn't see it in b922 yet but in previous builds it happened to me once in a time. Yes, it's usually very surpsing.

We're using ClearCase with dynamic views (all files are sitting on the virtual drives like "K:" and "N:", although they're sitting in D:/Views and may be some of them are sitting remotely on the server too, just have no idea). OS is Windows 2000.
