writing eclipse plugins with idea

hi
has anybody tried using the eclipse framework (writing plugins) with the idea IDE?

we are doing a client/server application, which client part is a plugin based on the eclipse framework. and to be honest, i appreciate every benefit of the swt/jface framework, but i really hate the eclipse IDE. i would like to write swt/jface/eclipse code with idea... is taht possible ?
