doc needs an index, active url links, a pdf version and viewlets

I suspect you must be working on those features, but as 3.0 has just be
unleashed, I'm surprised they are absent.


- pdf, rtf, ... any way to kill a few more trees.

- I know we can search, but an index is always usefull for quick access.
It should be always visible, and could be smart (You click on "F",
and type "ilt" => auto-jump to "Filters".


- active URLs

ex: Output Filter
You add a note saying :
"For syntax of used regular expression, please, refer to javadoc
for java.util.regex.Pattern".

Why not make it an active url to
http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.1/docs/api/java/util/regex/Pattern.html.


- Viewlets, or any way to demonstrate dynamically complex activities.

We are still adding and improving documentation -- viewlets will appear in
