Unused symbols color problem with PhpStorm 6.0

I've got a problem with unused symbols since I updated PhpStorm 5.x to 6.x.
Usually, when some variables are unused they should be identified with a different color.

Most likely you have 'Unused symbol inspection' disabled in PhpStorm 6. Please open Settings -> Inspections, search for "unused" and tick 'Unused JavaScript / ActionScript global symbol inspection' checkbox.

Thank you for your answer I'm still having that problem, even after doing what you said, note that they were already ticked.
It's odd..

I do see a padlock overlay icon (over js file icon). Plus, on your very first screenshot, the file tab has yellow background, which suggests that this file is not part of the actual project files.

How do you include this file in a project? I guess it is listed under "External Libraries" in Project View  or something like that.

This is what I get when file is part of the project -- it highlights unused variable:

The same code but file is part of External Library (PhpStorm; file is located in subfolder that is included via "Settings | PHP | Include paths") -- as you can see there is no unused variable here:

P.S.
On Windows PhpStorm comes with its own Java runtime (unless you have manually configured it to use your system wide Java). You have to use "Help | About" to see what Java version is used
