Version Control?

I'm kind of a newbie PHP programmer and have never used any kind of version control system before. I'm now working on a somewhat large application, however, and in the near future there may be another person who starts working on it with me. What kind of version control system works best with PhpStorm?

Thanks!

Best is relative. I've used PHPStorm with CVS extensively and it works great, but we're migrating to Git and that seems to work well too. I'm sure Subversion support is good as well.

Being that support is good for all three of these (plus I think it does Mercurial), I would decide based upon your need. Git is the most progressive and it's distributed, but also is a bit more complicated than CVS (of course that is coming from a newb to Git and a CVS expert.)

Well, here its more important that VCS itself should be good. I highly recommend to use git.
