Setting to stop or limit WebStorm from checking external links?

Hello,

I was at work yesterday creating a page with a lot of external links (the links were to another server of ours: probably hundreds of links). The security officer runs over to my desk and asks why I am DDOSing the server. After some investigating we realized that every time I opened the file with all of the external links, it was opening a connection to each file, all concurrently. Netstat in windows verified that I had hundreds of connectinos opened or waiting.

Is there a way to stop this behavior? I'm trying to convince my office this product is what we should be using, but they are ready to nix it due to it DDOSing the server.

I'm not sure if Bryan or anyone else is still watching this thread, but I posted this on the issue tracker a while ago: https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/WEB-57537/Limit-the-number-of-simultaneous-connections-while-checking-unresolved-web-link-in-HTML-file

Hopefully, this will get resolved someday. But until then, the only workaround I know of is to disable the Unresolved web link option.
