is it possible to assign a shortcut which would immediately select the file you're currently editing in project navigation view?

It seems that no way.

At this moment, i can only assign a hotkey to "Select in", but when i click the hotkey i always have to press return button in addition.

You can use '1' menu mnemonic instead of return.


Also you can enable 'Autoscrol from Source' project view option:
