Exclude Directories When Creating a Project

I'm creating a new project with a remote sftp connection and I'm trying to exclude the directories by putting the directory names in the line to exclude, however, the files still get downloaded.  Am I doing this wrong or is there another way to excude directories?

Any help that can be provided is appreciated.
