double clicking select variable instead of $variable

i copy pasted this from another thread (they had alot of other stuff in the thread so didnt want to just reply there). this would be awesome if it exists


is there a setting for the default double click on a variable ie what it selects ?


ie with a variable at the moment it selects "$variable"
is it possible to select just "variable" ?

I would really like such an option. Is it really still not possible to define what is selected by double clicking?

is it possible to do the opposite in SQL context? I note it will not grab the leading '@' when I do a 'SET' in mysql files. I would like to modify it to select the full string.

I do not see any.

P.S. Seems to work for TSQL (SQLServer dialect).
