pycharm edu python introduction task description doesn't appear Follow
Hello,
I have mac pro with el capitan,
I had pycharm 4 pro installed from my company and installed pycharm edu 2 afterwards, and they both worked fine even when both opened, until some moment when I opened for some 15-th time the edu edition - at this moment OS hanged completely, and after hard reset I started edu edition of pycharm and it appears the educational part stopped working. I see the project, i can run my python scripts in the IDE, but task descriptions don't open when I click on lessons. I already removed both pycharms from computer (also erased files in users Library folder that are related to pycharm) and reinstalled edu edition. But it still doesn't work as it is expected to. Check out the screenshot.

Same problem here.
I'm using windows 10 on a brand new lenovo machine.
It happened on the second day of usage of PyCharm Edu (with Python 2.7)
And samewise, the problem persists after wiping and reinstalling it.
Hi!
Sorry for any inconvenience.
Could you please remove folder PythonIntroduction from ~/PycharmProjects and try "Introduction to Python" one more time?
Hi Liana,
thanks, this worked for me!
I would just add that after erasing it, when launching "Introduction to Python" again a new folder PythonIntroduction is created.
It then points out that the folder PycharmProjects is not empty and asks if the existing resources should be used.
By saying yes the problem persists, but saying no resolves it.
Cheers,
Andrea
Same for me, thanks!
I recently updated to Pycharm EDU 3.0 on Mac OS X 10.12 (Sierra) and am having the same problem with the task description not showing.. I've tried deleting the PythonIntroduction folder half a dozen times. Each time when the folder is recreated but when I start Pycharm EDU the program hangs and I have to force quit it. Then when I restart the program after the force quit, the Introduction to Python loads but the task description is missing.
