Xdebug not working after 2016.1 update

After much effort I had xdebug working well on a remote host with PhpStorm 10. I just upgraded to 2016.1 and now xdebug no longer works. When I run Web Server Debug Validation everything reports as fine. This is sooo frustrating.

Please double check your settings -- few people were saying that some of the project settings were lost after upgrading (no idea how).
If you have both new and old versions still installed on your computer .. you could see how it's setup in first (make screenshots etc) and then compare to new version.
No other ideas right now.
Turned out it was coincidental the router changed client IP I have set it to static so won't happen again.
