Way to jump back to previous file/line after Ctrl+clicking function call?

I frequently have to jump into function call on a line, which takes me to a different line or file, and it's not easy to go back to the line I clicked from, so is there a keyboard shortcut or something that will take me back?

How do you use Command+[ ?
Because on mac "[" is typed with Shift + Option + "("
And this does't work

Hi Louis Cuny1, in ENG-US layout, "[" , can be typed with just 1 keypress, without the need for a combination.

Louis Cuny1: on a UK keyboard, the [ symbol is just available on the keyboard; no additional modifier needed:

But you can set it from Preferences > Keymap:

@Louis Cuny1

Current version of PhpStorm (2020.3.1) and other JetBrains IDE have an issue on Mac with keys that require pressing Shift and numbers. https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/JBR-2981

You may be seeing that issue rigth now.

If that is your case, the fix will be available in next 2020.3.2 version and for the moment you can use "assign another shortcut" workaround.

Thank you, it has been fixed in a later patch version of Phpstorm
I think you can close this issue

COMMAND + OPTION + LEFT  will help with going to previous locations

In Windows , “alt+cltr+left arrow” buttons combination changes the screen orientation since hot keys are enabled in system, so after disabling hot keys it started to work for me.
Note:- Back button can be checked from IntelliJ>Navigate> back (alt+cltr+left) which is same as hot key in windows.

Disable the Hot Key Feature by:-
Right click on the desktop> Hit Graphics properties > Hot Keys >Remove or clear the check from the  Enable Hot Keys
