Webstorm vs Pycharm for javascript / jquery support

Could you please report this problem as a YouTrack issue at http://youtrack.jetbrains.net/ ? There is no deep meaning behind this missing functionality. :-)

Hello Shawn,

The JavaScript support is identical in WebStorm and PyCharm.

I was wondering if you could tell me if I should consider the support

for normal html, javascript ( generally with jquery ) work the same in

webstorm and pycharm. We do a lot of django work, so Pycharm loks to

be a great option, but I am wondering if I can look to it as my single

web ide or do I need to evaluate webstorm also?

Good as it is, The support for javascript in pycharm is inferior to webstorm. The pycharm code style settings are missing two important panes that let you fine tune javascript formatting in webstorm: alignment & braces and wrapping.

Another pycharm shortcoming when compared to webstorm is that the structure tool window doesn't work for html files, only for js/py/css.
