RST files

Hi all,

I personally use Sphinx and reStructuredText to generate my documentation related to Python modules. Would it be possible to have syntax highlighting and completion for that kind of documents? I think it would be a great feature as Sphinx is used by many project as their primary documentation generator...

Maybe could this feature be included as a plugin if it's not a requirement for the majority of the users?

Hello Xavier,

At the moment reStructuredText is out of scope for PyCharm 1.0, however it's

quite likely that it will be supported in a future update. A YouTrack issue

is welcome.

I would also like to add my vote for RST support.  I started using PyCharm (from TextMate) and that's the one thing I'm missing in PyCharm.  I still use TextMate for my reStructuredText editing. I added a YouTrack issue to keep it in mind. Thanks!
