AppCode 3.1.3 no longer using ~/Library/Preferences/appCode31/idea.vmoptions

I have lots of RAM and work on multiple large projects simultaneously so it's important for me to be able to adjust VM memory options. Up until version 3.1.2, AppCode would use my jvm options specified in ~/Library/Preferences/appCode31/idea.vmoptions. After updating to 3.1.3 today, it no longer uses the parameters that I've specified and is starved for memory.

How can I adjust jvm options in 3.1.3?
