Jython support

Hey - I would have guessed that this had been asked a million times but: are there any plans for Jython integration?

Such that you could use java classes from python?

Would be really nice :-)

Cheers,

Daniel

Hello Daniel,

This is supported in the Python plugin for IntelliJ IDEA. PyCharm doesn't

contain any Java support, and there are no plans to add it.

Ah ok - thanks. Actually I'm usind Idea (9.0.3 also tried with X) but when I'm creating a python facet in a java module the python part itself works but it does not recognize any classes. Neither classes in the module itself (source) nor classes in any library which the module depends on.

I haven't found any special configuration for a Jython envrionment but only the standard Python SDK config which in my case points to jython-2.2. As I said the python part itself work - I can run scripts and completion works for the python part of the world.

Have I missed something. I haven't found any information about setting up the plugin.

Cheers,

Daniel

I'm having the same issue. I'm using Intellij IDEA 9.0.3 and Python plugin 2.5. I'm building Grinder scripts and none of the classes from the Grinder jars are resolving. I started the project as a Python project using a standard install of Jython 2.2.1 as the SDK. Grinder.jar is included in the External Libraries.

Yes same here - also came via grinder. I switched auto-import classes off and now its usable.

Pitty that the its not fully integrated but maybe in a later version ...
