"Texture atlas not found"

I am working on a SpriteKit game, but since the latest update (after updating XCode to support the new iOS 8), when I build and run on my phone, I always get the error message "Texture atlas 'atlasname' not found".

Now, before the update, Texture atlases didn't really work properly, either, but I could get it to work by building and running from XCode once. If I did changed the atlas in any way, I would also need to do a Project>Clean and new build from XCode, but after that, running from AppCode worked just fine.

Now, AppCode will throw the "Texture atlas not found" error even after I successfully built the app from XCode and it ran there without any issues.

The only similar problem that I could find was this:
https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/OC-8638

The workaround there does not work for me, I still get the same problem, which currently forces me to always run from XCode, which is a bit of an annoyance.

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Ronny,

Have you tried a workaround mentioned here?

I have, but sadly it's not working.

I also have the compiled Texture Atlas already prepared, in the project main folder, yet AppCode can't seem to find it.

Ronny,

That's a pity because the workaround from Lukas Alperowitz actually did work in my environment. In my case it was just an issue with Xcode environment variables that were not defined (INPUT_FILE_PATH and INPUT_FILE_BASE). BTW, the latest Xcode build settings reference doesn't even mention them.

Anyway, that appears to be an issue which should at some point have better fix than implementing some custom scripts.
So, I've updated OC-8638 according to your info. Please vote for it.
