Can I (temporarily) disable code inspector easily?

Hello,

Sometimes, usually when dealing with a large chunk of code, code inspector becomes a nuisance: "- Hey, I *know* the method down there is mispelled, but please wait until I finish *this* piece of code and stop prompting me with this Alt-Enter message!".

Is there any way for me to disable code inspector for a while? A shortcut, preferably?

Thanks in advance,

Rubens

Hello Rubens,

You might want to check if 'File -> Power Save Mode' is what you need.

From the documentation:

  • Power Save Mode. Select this check box to minimize power consumption of your computer on account of eliminating the background operations. When Power Save Mode is on, no inspections are performed.

You can also access this by right-clicking on Hector in the status bar:

There is no predefined shortcut, but you can easily define one. Just have a look at 'File -> Settings -> Keymap' and search for 'Power'.

Best regards

Volker

Thanks, Volker, that works!

Kind of reminded me of silencing the old Clippy, by Microsoft... :-)
