I am trying to use the remote debugging feature of pycharm to debug a Django application running on an Amazon EC2 instance. I am running pycharm on windows XP laptop. I have setup the remote debug configuration as per the instructions in http://blog.jetbrains.com/pycharm/2010/12/python-remote-debug-with-pycharm. I call pydevd.settrace from my application's manage.py script.
When the application is started, it suspends at the first line after settrace call. Now I can set breakpoints from the IDE in that file. If I set break points (from the IDE) in any of the other application files, the debugger does not break at that point. How can I set break points when using remote debugging? Do I have to add pydevd.settrace every where I want to break?
