Using existing virtualenv and site-packages

Hi, I am running Windows, Cygwin and Virtualenv following this guide: http://atbrox.com/2009/09/21/how-to-get-pipvirtualenvfabric-working-on-cygwin/. I have created a virtualenv from the command line and installed some packages in it using pip. If I add this virtualenv now as a Python interpreter (Ctrl+Alt+S > Project Interpreter > Configure Interpreters > Add > Local > "cygwin/home/user/.virtualenvs/theenvironment/bin/python.exe) it doesn't add any Packages or Paths. Is this a known problem?

cygwin is not an officially supported environment for PyCharm. You can file an issue at http://youtrack.jetbrains.com/ and we'll try to fix it, but in general we don't test PyCharm in the cygwin environment.
