one click open
one thing i like about using a simple program like Textpad is that i can click once on the left and the file i choose shows up open in the center ... with Pycharm, I have to double click, which makes for lots of double clicking ... is it possible to have the file tab in the center be active with one click on the left?

Click on the "gear" icon in the Project view and enable the "Autoscroll to source" option.
oh yes it does work great thanks .. i had it unchecked
