is there a way to tell pycharm not to look in certain directories for a specific project, regarding inspection? every time i bring focus back to pycharm it hangs for a minute or two before running ... i think there are too many files?  annoying

If IDE gets SLOW please follow http://devnet.jetbrains.net/docs/DOC-1212 and provide a CPU dump, for performing slow activity for at least 30 seconds. Send it directly to the Issue Tracker: http://youtrack.jetbrains.net/issues/PY

If PyCharm hangs for more than 5 seconds, it automatically writes thread dumps to the logs directory (Help | Reveal Logs). If you could submit these thread dumps as a ticket on Issue Tracker, this would be very helpful.
