"if" and code completion problem

When I type "if", a code completion window opens:



Hitting <Space> activates the first selection, which becomes annoying as I have to type <Esc> after each "if".
Futhermore, I don't see an "if" or "if-else" completion in the list.
Is that the intended behaviour or am I missing something?
