XmX and XmS errors, pycharm closes randomly

I have been using PyCharm for years but recently (when I updated to a newer version) I started to have problems because it closes randomly and shows errors about xmx and xms values.
I read a thread about changing these values in the pycharm.exe.vmoptions and it did not fix the problem entirely since time to time the application just crashes.

Does anyone have a permanent solution for this?
