How do I disable tooltips appearing over file tabs?

Answered
How do I disable the tooltip which displays the file's path when I mouseover the editor file tabs? They annoyingly get in the way of the cursor when I'm trying to click on tabs above them.

Agreed. Super, super annoying.

Sorry for the inconvenience! One can disable tooltips with Settings | Editor | General | Editor Tabs | Show tabs tooltips.

Thanks, I knew there had to be a setting somewhere, but I just couldn't find it (even with Google).

Tremendous! Thank you. (I'd throw a vote in for making this off by default, but what do I know?) :)

Yeap, sometimes it's cumbersome to find a specific option. We have a search mechanism in settings by the way, it may help a bit - I use it all the time = )

forgive me, but i have to disagree with the proposed solution of disabling the tab tooltip.  when a useful feature is designed in a way that it actually impedes the work it is supposed to enhance, then the design of the feature needs to be addressed.  as an interim solution, it is good to know that we can remove this feature, but if disabling it is the final solution, then it would be better just to remove it from the product.

the image below is what i have to contend with every time i want to change which file i am working on.

I feel the same about all of intellij's incessant popups.  Even worse is that there's a delay setting and it isn't honored.  Set it to 0, set it to the max of 1200, or go into the xml and change it to 12000, makes no difference.
