isn't it a question to cmake?
why do you ask CLion?

Hi Richard.

You can find output folder via Tools | CMake | Show Generated Cmake Files in Files.
And also the path to your .exe is specified in the Messages Build tool window.

Whenever I try to run a compiled program I get System Error "The program can't start because cygwin1.dll is missing from your computer."
Is there any way to have CLion automatically copy all required .dlls like this into the build folder so that if I wanted to send the program to someone else I could just zip the build folder and send it without having to locate and copy over every single .dll after every single error is displayed?

Hi Richard.

Cygwin license doesn't allow to distribute cygwin1.dll.
Is it possible that you can use MinGW?

Yes, but when I switch will I receive the same type of error except with some mingw.dll? And if so, how can I automatically copy all required dlls to the build path?

Richard,

Cygwin license doesn't allow to distribute cygwin1.dll with CLion, so you can install Cygwin by yourself and use it with CLion.

CLion has bundled GDB and CMake, so to use it with MinGW you need to install gcc, g++ and make.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
