How to Integrate DataGrip with Subversion

Hello,

DataGrip documentation says that it can be integrated with Subversion. So I opened database and installed Subverion plugin for DataGrip and when I try to commit files I only see project related files, but not tables, views, stored procedures, functions, ... My question is how can I integrate those objects schema to Subversion?

Thank you for your help.

Verions management of database shemas is not yet supported. There are plans to add the feature, but not in nearest future.

Can this be used to version control the files in the attached folder in datagrip?

but, it says that it's for Subversion 1.7 and OLDER?

Yes, you can version the files in the project (attached folders).

DataGrip supports Subversion client 1.6, 1.7, 1.8, 1.9. You can check related blog post about Subversion command line client: http://blog.jetbrains.com/idea/2013/12/subversion-1-8-and-intellij-idea-13/

I cannot find the window in the first picture?
I installed Project Rider, and that just worked out of the box, opening an project that was already checked out, and subversion integration was working straight away, no changes to do.

Please see:

Then use VCS | Checkout from Version Control menu or VCS | Enable Version Control Integration...

yes, I was still hung up in the text for that plugin, so I didn't install it :)
Installed now, and got it working.

Thought that the rightclick meny in the files window should be easier for checkin of files, but then I found the "Show changes view", very nice!

Is there any documentation on the subversion integration? like how to use changelists and such (which I didn't think subversion supported).

Hi!

I'm trying to install SVN in DataGrib, but there is no subversion plugin. So i installed the "SVNToolBox" plugin. After restarting DataGrib I got this:

Problems found loading plugins: Plugin "SVNToolBox" was not loaded: required plugin "Subversion" not installed.

But there is no plugin "Subversion".

Any hints?

All the best,

Markus
