Groovy / Grails support - which versions?
Hi
As we now plan to do our first Groovy / Grails projects coould somebody summarize (ideally also from JetBrains), which versions of Groovy and Grails are currently supported either by IntelliJ production release or EAP.
Of course, we would like to use the current version, i.e. Groovy 1.6 and Grails 1.1. If these aren't supported currently, in which time frame can we expect the support?
Kind regards
Thomas
P.S.: Possibly this questionwas already raised, but I have no time to search the forum more detailed.

Both Groovy 1.6 and Grails 1.1 are supported in 8.1.1 to a reasonable
extent. There are known problems that some words are not
completed/highlighted but that shouldn't be a big problem. If you find
any other issues with JetGroovy plugin, don't hesitate to report them.
Peter,
Does that mean that 8.1.1 currently supports goovy & grails better than the (recently released) 8.1.2 version of intelliJ IDEA?
There is a bug in Grails integration on Windows which makes it barely
usable, it will be fixed in upcoming 8.1.3. Everything else is pretty
the same in 8.1.1 and 8.1.2.
So if 8.1.2 is so buggy, can I download 8.1.1 somewhere?
Kind regards
Thomas
Thank you, Peter. I will downgrade to 8.1.1 until 8.1.3 is released.
@Thomas -- 8.1.1 is available here ( http://download.jetbrains.com/idea/idea-8.1.1.exe )

NOT TRUE - I have downloaded V8.1.2 and run it on Windows and is GREAT.
Yes, there IS one 'stupid' bug which is easy to fix (see http://www.jetbrains.net/jira/browse/GRVY-2154).
But once I fixed that, it is running very well so far.
In fact I have just changed from the new NetBeans 6.7 Beta because it's grails/groovy debug support 'sucked' !
The IntelliJ debug works *much* better for me.
BTW, I would have actually prefer to stick with the NetBeans IDE, but Intellij debug support for Grails in this version is just really good.
