sbt import project: how to update SNAPSHOT dependencies

I am often developing library dependencies concurrently with projects that depend on them. They'll have a `-SNAPSHOT` version. With sbt in the console I would just do `sbt publish-local` from the library followed by an `sbt update` in the depending project. How do I run `sbt update` for a Scala project in IntelliJ IDEA that was created via sbt-import? I have `auto-import` checked, but IntelliJ does not see that a new SNAPSHOT version exists, so I have to explicitly trigger that update somehwere...
