New build is available in plugin manager

Hello All,

The new version of JetGroovy is available in plugin manager. This build mainly contains a bunch of bug fixes, so the plugin should be more stable now.

Enjoy,
Eugene.

I wonder why those new releases on the plugin manager aren't visible as updates. My installed version is 0.1.10957 and the version that is available on the server is 0.1.11220. Does the plugin manager only check the first two version components - "0.1" for both? Thats really tedious. Now I'm always uninstalling the old version - restarting IDEA - installing the new version - restarting IDEA.
Please fix this. That makes the plugin manager useless. Then I can download the plugin directly from plugins.intellij.net - shutdown IDEA - replace the old version with a new. That will probably be faster.

Cheers,
Robert

Indeed I see the problem. However it seems like it is caused by plugin site incorrectly providing name instead of id. I'll contact relevant people ASAP.

I have numerous questions about installation. I have tried numerous things but am unable to get 0.1.11565 to install on my environment. I have Selena build #7274. (Some of my questions may be well understood by experienced IntelliJ users, but I suspect a lot of JetGroovy users are trying IntelliJ for the first time because of the Groovy/Grails support.)

1) How are we supposed to find the latest version of the plugin? I happened to find a version on http://www.jetbrains.net/confluence/dashboard.action, but only because it was in "most recent". A pointer on this page (http://www.jetbrains.net/confluence/display/GRVY/Latestversionresources) would probably be appropriate.

2) How do you install the plugin? I copied the files from the latest .zip to my ]]>/.IntelliJIdea70\config\plugins\Groovy\lib directory. The Plugin Manager now recognizes that I have Version 0.1.11565 but it will not activate it. More specifically, it directs me to shut down IDEA to activate, but when I restart the plugin is still not enabled, and the name is in a red font.

Any help will be appreciated.

Brad,

I'm running IDEA #7343 and JetGroovy 0.1.11565 (supplied to me by Ilya Sergey as he tries to help me solve a separate issue).

I can tell you that this release of the plug-in works fine, at least with the latest RC of IDEA. You might want to try that upgrade, too. Otherwise, it seems there is something specific to your setup that's causing the problem.

Thanks. I downloaded IDEA #7343 and now JetGroovy 0.1.11565 is working for me. (And it's so much better than the old version I was using.)
