insert duplicate row

The version previous to the 2016.1 release had a feature I really appreciated.

I could right click on a row in a result set and I would get an option to insert a duplicate row, but I am not seeing that feature in 2016.1.

I might have the wording wrong but it would copy the selected row data and create a new row with the same data except for incremental values which it knew to automatically increment.

Thanks for reading and considering.

Hello Justin,

Do you mean Clone row action:

Do you have such an option? What Database do you use? Thanks.

yeah that's what i was looking for, but I am not seeing it. Also since I've tried to work around it it looks like the results are generally not editable, I have to write my updates manually etc.

But before the update I was able to clone and update easily. I have not changed configuration, the installation process copied over the configuration from the previous version, maybe that changed something.

I am using SQL Server for this DB, Driver shows 'SQL Server (Microsoft)' in blue and shows

The Driver shows:

Class:

com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerDriver

Dialect:

SQL Server

Driver files:

C:\Users\jtriplett\.DataGrip2016.1\config\jdbc-drivers\sqlserver-driver-license.txt

C:\Users\jtriplett\.DataGrip2016.1\config\jdbc-drivers\sqlserver-win-auth.jar

C:\Users\jtriplett\.DataGrip2016.1\config\jdbc-drivers\sqljdbc4-4.0.2206.100.jar

The Data Sources configuration for this DB also shows at the bottom..

Read-only is NOT CHECKED

Auto commit is CHECKED (and tested working)

Auto sync is CHECKED

The could cause the problem. Can you please attach screenshots, showing this and the context menu which appears when you select the row?

Can you update the table via sql query using the same Data Source?

Please also try if it helps to create a new Data Source.
