Project settings are global?

I work on several different projects simultaneously, and RubyMine 5.4.1 on OSX 10.8 isn't storing my Tab preferences per project.

In project 1 I load Preferences, Code Style, Ruby and disable tabs.  Now when I load project 2, the tabs are turned off there as well.  This is under the Project Settings header, shouldn't it stay in the project?
