Is there a left/right Editor tab indicator/scroll button?

In RubyMine Editor, I have set my tabs as: "Show tabs in single row". This is good, except, I expected some sort of visual indicator and/or arrow to the left and right of the tabs, if there are tabs not being displayed in that direction. For example, if I have 10 tabs open and showing tabs 3 - 7, I would expect either an indicator and/or arrow, stating that tabs 1 - 2 exisxt to the left, and 8 - 10 exist to the right. Right now, the only way to know, is to drop down the list, in the upper right.

Is this possible with the current 4.5.2 build, or would this be  a feature request?

Thanks,
Martin

Since there is no response, let me add a second part to this question: Is there a way to have the editor tabs scroll left/right, when I want to drag and drop a tab to a new location? For example, if I want to drag tab #10 to the 2nd postion, but the first displayed tab is #3.

Hope that makes sense. :)

Right now, when there are more tabs than can fit into the screen, there is a single dropdown button on the right that gives you access to overflow tabs. We plan to implement more flexible tab management, with left/right scrolling and better reordering possibilities, but we don't have any specific timeframe for this functionality.

Thanks Dmitry, if you are looking for a good working example, check out Activestate Komodo. I very nice IDE, but somewhat limited for RoR.

Please add me to the notification list, for improved tab management. :)

Hi Dmitry, I just downloaded v5, and had hoped to see the scrolling tabs option we discussed. Any way to turn this on, or add as a quick fix?

Thanks,

No, this feature is still not in the platform.

Would be a really nice feature ... Any way to get it prioritized for the next .x release?

Thanks again,
Martin
