Setting file type of Guardfile

I am relative new in RubyMine, so sorry if I ask a dumb question, or do not use terminology correctly.

I using guard for my Rails project to monitor some things, such as server restart or running Bundler automatially after Gemfile changed.

However, I would like edit my Guardfile as a Ruby file, not as a plain text file.

I started search on the net, how it can be done, and I find the corresponding documentation, what says it can be done in Settings -> File Types (on Mac it is Preferences -> File Types).

I tried to add Guardfile as a pattern to "Ruby files" recognized file type (i tried lowercase too), but nothing happened, even if I restarted my IDE. I searched over the list of recognized file types, but I cannot find Guardfile anywhere as a pattern, so I definitelly exclude the type collision.

I'm using RubyMine 4.5.4 Build RM 119.71 on JDK 1.6.0_37 on Mac OS X 10.8.2 with latest stable RVM.

Can anyone help me what I do wrong? I just want some syntax highlighting in my Guardfile, nothing more...

I'm not sure I've completely understood what exactly you are trying to achieve, but if you want to configure RM to edit Guardfile as Ruby file then you need to go to Settings|File Types
locate "Ruby files" in list of "Recognazied File Types" and add Guardfile as one more "registered pattern" for the type.

If you want something else could you please clarify what exactly you need.

Regards, Oleg.
