Question about EAP

sorry, newbie, so possibly a silly question, so if I want to be on the cutting edge I can download the latest EAP , provide it with my license and enjoy ? or wil it time out ?
Each EAP build expires in 30 days after the release date, but new EAP builds are released more frequently than that, so you can stay on EAP builds up until the final release of RubyMine 4.
Charles, yes their preferences/caches/logs are separated. On Mac they are located in ~/Library/Logs/RubyMineXX, ~/Library/Preferences/RubyMineXX, ~/Library/Caches/RubyMineXX, ~/Library/Application Support/RubyMineXX, where XX is related to RubyMine version.
i.e.they are effectively isolated ?
Some problems may occur only with "[your project dir]/.idea" folder when your open the same project in stable and EAP builds due to possible differences in settings format. In such cases you will have to delete ".idea" folder, let RubyMine to recreate it and reconfigure the project.

and to be sure I can run both the EAP release and the stable release on the same box ? i.e.they are effectively isolated ?
