cursor hangs : scanning for paths requirement or registrations

In rubymine 3.2.1 (b107.371) and LinuxMint 11.04, jdk 1.6.24

While typing the cursor hangs for 2 or more seconds and I see a background task come up and disappear quickly.
Although the hang is small it is extremely inconvenient. The background task name is something like

scanning for paths requirement or registrations

Since it does it so fast, it was hard to read the exact name.

I saw this error behavior in prior builds as well, but only on LinuxMint. Never had such issue on Windows 7.

Is there a fix or workaround(disable scanning)?
