Mac OSX: No option to Check for Updates

When RubyMine 3.0 starts up on my mac, it tells me that an update is available, and to refer to Help > Check for Updates to obtain it. However, that menu item doesn't exist. I've tried using the handy Mac menu-bar search function, also found under help, and it doesn't appear to be available under any of my application menus. Do I need to download and reinstall from the website for each point release?

Yes, see RubyMine | File | Settings | Updates dialog

Yes, you need. RubyMine includes auto-updater but it is turned off at the moment. When we will enable it again you will see suggestion do download patch and apply it.
